Bringing Renewable Energy to Northern Ireland

On 10th October 2012, First Flight Wind, a consortium comprising B9 Energy, DONG Energy and RES,
was selected to develop a 600 megawatt offshore wind farm off the south east coast of Co. Down.

Subject to obtaining consents from the Department of Environment and the Department of Enterprise,
Trade and Investment, such a wind farm could provide up to a fifth of Northern Ireland's electricity,
help us meet our renewable energy and carbon targets, reduce expensive fuel imports and create jobs.

We invite you to participate in the community consultation process. This will continue alongside the
environmental impact and design studies until we apply for consent, potentially in 2015.
Help us develop a project that is a positive asset to the coastal area and to Northern Ireland as a whole.
